New setup, DESS installed, not using battery capacity - Netherlands

Hi,

Recently installed a new system (1st one DIY) with Cerbo GX, Multiplus II, Lynx Shunt and Lynx Power In. 14.5 kWh battery with JK BMS

Setup and update all firmware on GX and the multiplus, installed the assistant and filled out all the blanks and location of the GX

I have it running now for a few days but the system keeps the battery at 100% and seems not to be using it. Only a small percentage is used for short high loads but recharged qiuckly.

I can not figure out what is wrong. Can some help me with some advice or hints?

Any help is much appreciated!

Hi welcome,
can you share more details about the confguration of the system?

Post some remote console pictures

Did you follow all the guides on battery setup and (d)ess setup?

Why a lynx shunt when your batterys have a bms?

Thanks for replying!
I will soon update some more details. I just adjusted the “Grid setpoint”. I had this filled far to high.

Purchase of the shunt, was an expensive mistake, but I will probably use it in a new setup for a interested customer

Problem solved!
It turned out I misunderstood the term “Grid Setpoint” in DESS. I put it way to high matching the value of my main breakers. After adjusting this setting back to standard value the system performed as I projected it would perform

So, I’m happy. Everything works as planned!

Good to hear!

Grid setpoint is the value that the (D)ESS will try to keep consumption from or to grid on

You can also use a negative value to use as much as possible from battery/pv
