New ESS Home build DIY

Hi !! just (almost finished) my first home ESS system.
I’ve already have a similar system in my caravan but of course with a different setup and a smaller multi and battery.

The only problem I’ve come across with is the “buzzing” noise of the multi.
I’ve read lots of topics about the problem so there is still some work to do.
Any thoughts ???

Hi place your multi on a thick rubber damping mat with rubber plugs, this will decrease the noise a lot
That way you can decouple the vibration noise from the wall

If it runs the fan will also create noise

I did the the same thing on my 3 multis, and a replaced the fans with a more silent type and with rubber fixings inside the fan bracket of the multis

Hi Marc,

Thanks for your reply.

I’ve already thought about that, and I think I will place a rubber damping on the back of the multi.

I understand when the multi is charging or de-charging the multi make some noise and the after a period of time the fan wil start blowing.
That’s normal in my opinion

But it also makes a buzzing noise when in “pass trough “ with low power.

200 watt from the grid directly to the Home with no pv or battery involved.

Any thoughts on that end

Thanks in advance for your help.

Its the transformer inside that makes humming noise, nothing you can do about other then what i all mentioned
