New ESS, doubts where to put ET340 energy meter

Hello,
I’m preparing for my first install, all hardware is completed. Topology will be as below:

grid → 3 phase multiplus 2 + ZYC battery → house loads + on-grid PV inverter

I already bought ET340 energy meter to put it before AC-in (cause I though it’s necessary), but later I found an info that Multipluses have their inside energy meters. Is it a good idea to use that ET340 for measuring PV inverter production (inverter is not on the list supported by Victron communication)? Or it’s better to use ET340 as planned, because it’s better/faster/more helpful for ESS?
Thanks for advice and sorry for stupid question

Hi, My advice is to use it and connect it directly after your utility meter as the ess manuals state, that way your ess will work best

Thanks. Does it apply even if between utility meter and ess I have only power cable and nothing else? I mean, your statement is that ET340 is better for measurement than internal hardware of Multiplus?

If you have absolutly nothing in between its not needed, then multi can measure itself

If you want to use the et for pv i would do that then!
