Mutiplus II ESS AC Coupling

I have configured the ESS with AC coupling in which I have installed 2 Huawei inverters, 2 Victron multiplus ii inverters, the question is,

Yesterday at noon with the batteries already charged to 100%, it took a while for the Huawei inverters to frequently block and the victrona equipment, unable to absorb the power, blocked and restarted twice.

What parameters can I adjust so that this does not happen again?

Currently I have these values in the overfrequency control for cutting for huawei,

reduce power: 50.30Hz
power at minimum: 52’7Hz
disconnection: 53Hz,

thank you very much for the help!!

Have you set the Huawei grid compliance settings?

Yes, in Huawei the overfrequency control is activated with the same values indicated.

I think it was a failure due to the speed at which it reacted. The question is whether I should lower the power limitation controls a little so that it cuts off earlier due to frequency.

Did you enable the multiplus battery monitor or are you using a shunt?

They are lithium pyl batteries with bms, it is enabled

Do you have communicatoin from the battery BMS? You could try lower the absorbtion voltage what you could be seeing is the battery disconecting due to cell overvoltage protection and the multi has nowhere to put the power.

I have 6 Pylontech batteries of 4.8Kwh, the voltages are set like this:

Absortion voltage–> 52V
Float Voltage → 51V

In the MPPT absorption at 52V

What values do you recommend?

If they are 15 cells try 50V ABS then if you still have issues try 49 48V. I have a 36kwh battery with 2x 5kw ac inverters and a 48/100 mppt and I am grid connected and have issues when the sun is out there can be 13-15kw of solar.

I don’t know how your communication is setup but this does help. You can adjust the battery % when you hit absorption. This can fine-tune where you are based on the battery BMS. You can also right-click on the battery and send the estimated SOC when you upload the config.

At the settings area I applied for SUN2000-4KTL Iin the ESS assistant, I changed them to 50.2, 51.48 and 51.5. These settings are matching the ones off the PV inverter.

Hello! I am having a similar setup as yours. I am having already a huawei inverter installed and i want to add one multiplus II to create a microgrid.

I am having difficulties with the huawei settings.

Can you tell me where did you find the overfrequency control settings? All i can find is the overfrequency protection that shuts down the inverter.

Thanks.
