After the life04 discharged to 15%soc due to shore power failure. When shore power reconnected multipus charged at 65amps until 50% then reduced to 15aMPs and stated changed to float. ? Why has it reduced before 100% ?
Absorption? Though 50% sounds too low. Post your Multi charger settings.
I restarted the VE:BUS and the Multiplus has immediately gone into state: Absorption charging at 60Amps. ! so hopefully resolved.
must remember to set Multiplus to CHARGER only next time when dehumidifier and heater are turned on, in case shore power trips out.
Can you please add some more information about your system?
What components do you have? What are the settings?
@robertpvose
If possible, you can connect the dehumidifier and heater to ACout2 and control ACout2 via Relais assistant. I switch off ACout2 at 25%SoC and switch on again at 30% SoC.
ACout1 “critical loads” has no relais.

Multiplus 12/1600 VE Bus

CerboGX
PV charger
The system has been working fine. When I restarted the ve bus the Multiplus started to charge correctly but again dialed down at around 70% soc.
Screen shots of multiplus settings further up this post.
Battery monitor set to BMV02
Thank you. I should have set the multiplus to CHARGER only which would have prevented it going into inverter mode.
I will take a look at creating a different route for a shore power only socket.
BMV settings?
Also please add some screenshots from the GX device or VRM dashboard (with details enabled).
The charging algorithm is based on the voltage not on the SOC. If the voltage at the terminals of the charger reaches the configured absorption voltage it will switch to the next stage.
this is the graph of voltage and charge current.
@ 5am this was alternator as no shore power available
@ 1200, shore power enabled, charge current 65 amps for about 1 hour. SOC 50%.
@ 1600, i restarted VE Bus system, multiplus changed from float to absorption and current 65amps. again for about 1 hour. then dropped down to float and 10amps
@ 21:00 restarted VE bus and state changed to absorption, current 60amps for 1 hour before dropping down.
The Voltage at each of these periods is around 13.5 so well under Absorption setting in the Multiplus.
so it would look like the each period is 1 hour before changing to float and dropping to 10amps.
IS this anything to do with Multiplus Charger setting of Absorption time set to 1hr ?
You need to look at the voltage measured by the MultiPlus.
