Multiplus keeps resetting

My Multiplus on my boat keeps resetting. It controls my Bank A 110 Circuit on my boat. All of the sudden, power goes out. The Multiplus remote display goes dead. within 15 or 30 seconds or so, the Mains light blinks and then comes on and my AC Bank A comes back on, then the charge indicator comes back on. Some days/nights it does this, others it does not. My power cord into my boat has an indicator on it as does a main breaker in the boat. Both of those show power when this happens. Does anyone have an idea what might be going on? Could poor battery connections cause this? I have not gotten down in where they are yet, but plan to.

Thanks.

Maybe it’s shutting down due to low voltage on the battery? A poor connection can result in low voltage readings. Check the logs on the Multiplus as well as your battery.

Thanks. I am not sure how to check the logs. I assume I would have to hook up to the Victron with a USB and laptop? I will do some reading up on it.

Yes.

It is easier to diagnose with logs from a GX.

Thanks. I am considering what things to add to make monitoring easier.

I have since added a MK3. I left on vacation and came back to dead batteries and a Multiplus compact that was shut down, again. I charged the batteries and connected the MK3 and it indicated “FAULT”. Not sure what the fault was. I uploaded the latest firmware and everything started working again. I thought yee haw, I fixed it. Came back after another trip, dead batteries…
The unit is on its way for warranty service. I hope this resolves my issue as I know it is not shore power going out and even if it was, it should come back on once shore power is restored. Have added a Cerbo GX so at least I will be able to monitor things when I get it back.

Sometimes the random fault - with not explanation - can be too many attempts to reconnect to the unstable power or the grid.

What firmware is on the unit?
