So I have a solar system and Im in the process of doing version II.
The idea is to have solar via Victron MPPT’s and a small 15kWh 48V battery. As a off grid system But with grid connection when solar+Battery do not provide power.
As far as I can se this is exactly what the Multiplus II can do I just have not seen a confirmation that this is possible.
Hi, I don’t have MPPT but I have a Multiplus II + GX, grid is on ac-in and the ac inverters are on ac-out. I use grid only if PV and battery are not enough
Thats exactly what the multiplus can do, if you leave it connected to grid it will do everything automatic with ESS, use as much solar and battery power as possible and when not available use grid
my whole house is on 3x multiplus 2 5000 with 20kw battery and 10kw solar on mppts, no grid usage from march til november (NL)
I never change any settings just let ESS do its thing
I have a 48/5000 MP2 GX, 32Kwh Battery and ac coupled solar. It trickles an average of 1 kwh from the grid each day all the time the sun shines. I would move on to a smart tariff so you can top up at night and over the winter.
