Victron multiplus II in a grid tied installation

I would like to know if a victron multiplus II (eventually GX) is a good option for a grid tied installation with solar panels and batteries. The objective is to reduce energy bill.
My idea is to use a victron multiplus ii 5000, with a victron mppt charger connected to solar panels and a 48V compatible battery system.

Do I need a GX device?

Can I just connect the AC input (tied with the grid) and not use the output 1 and 2? (backup is not needed as grid power rarely fails)

Thank you

Hi you will probaply set it up as ess and need a gx device, multiplus 2 gx is the cheapest option

If you dont connect ac out 1 (and 2) your system will be grid parallel and that is possible
