Multiplus II Turns off and on again by itself

Hi community!
I’m from Greece. The last six months my multiplus II 48/5000/70 shuts down and after 2-3 seconds is powering up again every 10-15days. I did a Firmware (v558) update yesterday and today did it again. Cerbo’s firmware 3.66. Grid power is connected to AC input in case of low battery. All the parts of the system purchased from local victron dealer last year. Should i wonder of a faulty inverter or somebody has faced this issue and solved it?

Thank you in advance for every answer!

@konstantinosVen I would suggest to start with usual checks ensuring all wiring is sounds, crimps and fuses are good, look for error messages and patterns such as high loads at the time low battery voltages at when it happens. No simple answer, but I found most of the problems I encountered were wiring.

Thank you for your advice! There is no error message recorded at vrm, only zero power output for some seconds at the diagrams.

Do you think there is issues at ground or neutral wiring? I haven’t grounded the body of inverter. Should i have to? Shall i ground it to the main house ground?

that may help. Also, what is the battery voltage doing when the inverter shuts down? Do you have any VRM monitoring?

Yes i have monitoring and the time inverter shut down, battery was charging and voltage was stable. There was no dramatic change. This issue doesn’t happening in specific conditions every time. It has happened during cooking, during night with very low loads, morning while charging battery, in various battery SOC.

I found something in Victron’s Troubleshooting and Support

6.1.14. Error 43 - Inverter shutdown (Ground Fault)

The voltage difference between Neutral and Ground is too high.

Inverter or Multi (not connected to the grid):

  • The internal ground relay is activated but the voltage over the relay is too high. The relay might be damaged.

Multi (connected to the grid):

  • The ground wire in the installation is not present or not connected properly.

  • Line and Neutral are swapped in the installation.

This error will not auto-reset. Check the installation and restart the unit using the power-switch.

Hello again! Firstly thank you all for your advices!

I screwed the fuses of the electrical box tightly (i found two of those quite loose), i grounded the frames of the inverter and charge controller into the main ground bar of the house and i changed the utp communication cable of the iverter to the cerbo. So far so good and i’ll let you know if something happens again.
