Any assistance or thoughts with the following issue would be greatly appreciated.
System was installed & tested throughout the last 7 days & has been working completely as normal up until late last night. The issue we are facing is the multiplus 2 12/3000-120 now wont turn on while connected to the cerbo gx via ve bus. The ve bus cable has to be disconnected, multiplus switch cycled off then on & ve bus cable reconnected for it to stay turned on otherwise it turns straight back off. When the inverters state is then changed on the touch 70 it turns off & remains off until the above process is repeated.
If ve bus left disconnected multiplus functions via onboard rocker switch & system functions as normal.
Thank you for the reply Chief Solar reading through that it sounds like I have the exact same issue as after trying all mentioned steps outcome is still the same. Guess I will have to contact the supplier to organise a replacement unit
Hi Fideri, thank you for your reply I have gone through just about every post on here going back 9 months that is relevant to my issue & gone through the list of recommendations but had noticed a few had been closed as no response in 14 days without a written resolution so posted my own in hopes someone had some further insight.
Have changed firmware on the GX back to 3.55 that it had when first powered on, 3.63 as mentioned in original post & now 3.64 none of which have resolved the issue that mind you during our 3 days of testing while on 3.63 not once did we have this issue occur.
Cerbo Mk2 is connected direct to the 12v leisure battery system & not via the Ac out of the multiplus
Have arranged for a patch lead to be made tomorrow with pin 7 removed as per the manual as a last ditch attempt
I don’t believe that these point are the cause of this issue since it worked for (at least) 7 days without a problem.
And since you wrote that it happened late at night. Did you do a firmware upgrade at that time, yourself, or do you have automatic firmware upgrades set to true?
In case that there was no firmware upgrade done, on the Cerbo and/or inverter, then something must be broken.
No firmware updates were done & automatic updates were set to off. Late at night around 11pm was when the inverter was last turned off via the touch 70 which can also be seen in the reporting.
All firmware changes since the problem has occurred forward and back were done by me remotely as this is a customers vehicle. Have currently just had them leave the VE Bus disconnected from the cerbo so they can continue to use the multi as normal and having them turn it on/off at the physical switch on the unit.
