Multiplus II - Is Current Transformer Needed?

Hi Folks!

Just a quick question, I just purchased a MPII 2x120 and on the quick start sheet it shows a Current Transformer as not included.

Do I need one? This is for an RV install (15/30/50A) with a bank of (4) 6v batteries. I do plan on using Power Assist and I’m not clear as to whether a Current Transformer is needed or not. Many thanks in advance!

The CT is optional mentioned in the datsheet. It adds extra function in some set ups.

Thank you!

I printed off the datasheet, and I thought I had almost memorized it, but I missed that. Thanks for confirming it for me!

The CT isolates grid power transfer from other current on the AC input side. It is primarily used if you have loads or a PV inverter on the AC input side of the Multi. Neither is likely in an RV.

Perfect, thank you. You are correct, there is nothing on the input side other than power from the pedestal.
