Current transformer data VE.Bus

Hi All,

I have had an issue with my parallel set-up since the very beginning when I added the second multiplus. The issue is regarding the external current transformer which worked perfectly on the single multi but cannot be used at all on the parallel set-up as it causes bizarre and extreme behaviour.
In order to get to the bottom of this I would like to see what the multi sees from the current sensor which I assume would be available on V.e.Bus.

Can anyone tell me where/if I can find this data ?

Thanks,

iirc the current sensor isn’t a device, it just replaces the internal sensor so, the same paths should apply.

Right. Does that mean the “using external current sensor” box in V.e.Config shouldn’t actually be ticked ?

It should be ticked.

External Current Sensor - This is for use with the MultiPlus-II external current sensor.

Are you using the correct current transformer?

If it was fine before, the issue could be with the parallel set. Have you tried removing the CT and just letting them run on the internal sensors to se if they are stable and balanced on their own? If your loads are on AC IN then this won’t help, but I would eliminate the parallel inverters being the cause before fiddling too much with the sensor.

Yes on internal sensors the Multis are functioning ok but there is a slower response to load switching and a much greater deviation from the grid set-point.
The single Multi with a single CT, like the one in the picture above, worked very well for about a year, quick response and kept the set-point well so I would assume the CT is OK.
The Multi is 25 metres from the incoming supply and grid meter so the CT is placed there, just next to the main incoming circuit breaker.

I could live without it but I would like to follow the data and find out what is going wrong so I need to see what the Multi sees from the CT.

It will be the same dbus paths for the internal meter aiui.

Thanks, I will check that out.

I have read through the list of Dbus services a couple of times and I am not sure if I want Ac/ConsumptionOnInput/ or Ac/Grid/ or maybe Ac/ActiveIn/ or maybe even something else.

This would be to see what the Multi sees from the external Current Transformer.

Thanks,
