I have one of these Fogstar 32kWh batteries on order:
I am looking at getting a Multiplus II inverter to drive it.
I assume the included 95mm2 DC cables will be fine?
It has a built in a 375A breaker and dedicated On/Off isolation switch. Is it either required or good practise to have an external DC isolator and/or fuse, or is the internal one in the battery fine?
Does the comms cable connect directly to the Multiplus II (or Cerbo GX?) - or do I need something additional to get them to communicate?
Reading the docs on your link it states “We supply 1.5m, 95mm² battery cables terminated with M8 ring lugs, suitable for direct connection between the battery and inverter, or via an external busbar. For correct installation, connect all negative conductors before attaching the positive.” +“A 1.5m communication cable is also included, enabling straightforward data integration. e Seplos BMS seamlessly integrates with a wide range of popular inverters, containing pre-loaded protocols for Victron,”
If the mp2 GX you choose has M8 battery connections then looks all good.
Personally if class T fuse isnt in battery i’d add suitable rated one.
But we use mersen NH fuses normally for the battery side. There are quite a few options and plenty of suggestions on the forum. Sometimes what can be used it restricted by regulations.
This is a good suggestion. We don’t get them here unless i special order.
@ichilton you will need more cable I believe it only comes with one pair of cables, the multiplus 10kVA uses two terminal points of connection, so I would use a Lynx Distribution box to get your two cables to your multi and it’s easier to add another battery if you want too. See below link
