Hello.
I have Multiplus-2 GX 48/5000 with two US5000.
The manual recommends 200A fuse and 70mm cable. The pylontech cable is only 25 mm.
I planned to connect the batteries in parallel (using included short cables) and then use 25 mm cable to the inverter.
But it appears that 200A fuse doesn’t fit this cable.
What is the best workaround?
On this image https://www.victronenergy.com/live/_media/battery_compatibility:ds_-_pylontech_-_managed_lithium_battery_-_2021-3-11.jpg I don’t see any fuses at all.
Lynx Distributor is pricey and I think unnecessary in a simple system like this.
Thank you in advance.

25mm cable has a max current of 100A.
For the Multiplus 5000 inverter, it is recommended that a minimum of 3 US5000 batteries are used.
The US5000 has a 125A circuit breaker, so a fuse must be fitted.
This will limit the max power that you can get from the inverter.

Thank you for your answer.
According to the manual, the minimum number of batteries is two.
As far as I understand, you recommend to install a 125A fuse from the batteries to the inverter.
Any way to install a 70mm2 cable?

You can do something like this Simple UK Home System
Yeah only two US5000’s needed for the 5kVA

it also depends on the settings in MP2
If it is just an ESS - the values don´t have to be to high
I have a MP2-3000 - today i´d buy a 5000 - but only because of the higher battery charge current
for feeding the house - i set a maximum of 2500W - whoch is more than enough to drain the batteries smoothly at night
And fpr that purpose, i don´t need that big wires

What fuse is installed in your system?

If you get the Lynx and do it the way I have you can add to that stock in the future ie you would want two you could then just use the mega’s 100amp on each of the battery and the 200amp combined fuse on the multiplus cable

Has a much higher temperature rating on its insulation. Look up the spec sheet for them, they are rated for higher amperage than ‘the same gauge’ other battery cable.
But i would still use 2x anda bus bar connecting them as individuals.
You don’t necessarily need a lynx the 125-150A bus bar is enough.

Do I need two separate fuses for the batteries on the bus bar?
