Multiplus-II 24/3000/70-32(AKA easysolar II) Timed inverter on/off times

Hi all. Very new to Victron but I do have an Electrical Engineering Tech background, but still learning heaps. (I’m Retired). I have set up a home system that turns on & off at designated times of the day depending on seasons & weather conditions.

Running the above unit with only a 1KW battery & 1 KW of Solar. Also mostly run on Solar. Therefore very small system so, I like to turn on & off the inverter & switch back to mains power after the sun has gone down so as to negate overnight power drain on the batteries from the inverter. Also don’t see the point of running the inverter feeding nothing for 10-14hrs. I do this by going into the device screen on my PC & swich from ‘on’ to ‘charger only’. Ideally it would be great if in the device screen there was a daily ‘time on’ ‘time off’ automated switching for the inverter. Don’t suppose anyone knows a better way to do this or could we ask Victron to add this functionality to a later version. Thankyou to anyone that can help. Cheers Greg.

Yes there are ways to do it the only device on the system that has ability to tell the time is GX.

It is possible to wire the relay of the gx to the inverter and have it switch on and off that way.
It can be done with node red, or a bit of base programming on the inverter and the generator start stop on the GX.
Or really old school with a timer and a relay.

It depends on how you want to tackle it and what inverter you have as some have the remote on/off and some don’t.

You could ask, but since there are already ways to crumble this cookie its not likely to be a priority.
