I am wondering if anyone can help and sorry if a similar question has been asked before…
We have a a Victron Multiplus 2 GX and a bank of Pylontec batteries that operates as an ESS in our house. We have a legacy AC coupled solar PV system that has its own inverter that feeds into the consumer unit. We also have an electric car charger.
Currently the system is set up to balance and the multiplus feeds in (if there is charge in the battery) whenever there is demand from the system and any excess solar PV gets fed into the battery - the system is configured as in the diagram - the Multiplus is using the current sensor on the meter tail to balance. However, we have an electric car charger, which depending on the schedule will sometimes charge from the multiplus, which i don’t want it to do, as it just empties the batteries.
I was wondering if any simple way to exclude the car charger from the balancing - other than reconfiguring the supply such that the car charge comes off before the current sensor.
