MultiPlus 12/3000/120-50 not charging under generator

Hi!
I have connected my MultiPlus 12/3000/120-50 (firmware v552) with a generator for charging my Victron Smart Lithium 330Ah on my sailing yacht:
”Könner & Söhnen Inverter Generator KSB 22i S, 230V 50Hz, max 2kW, rated power 1.8kW”

Unfortunately the MultiPlus seems not to accept this charging source. It says “blockiert”.

I have a central grounding point on my boat connected to the water (zinc anode). At this grounding point, the earth from the 230V shore power input is connected to the ground terminal of the Multiplus, as well as the negative/ground of the 12V system and also the Multiplus grounding terminal.

To connect the generator to the boat’s shore power input, I have installed an N-to-PE bridge between the generator and the shore power connection of the boat (before the RCCB). I have verified the function of this bridge with a multimeter.

The Multiplus charges without any issues when powered by regular shore power from the dock (without the generator). The generator also runs fine when operating independently without being connected to the boat.

In my setup, there is also a Cerbo S-GX (firmware v3.66).

I would be very grateful for a solution.

Some inverter generators have problems charging with the Multiplus. If you have a Mk3 adapter, use Victron connect to look in the Charger tab for the ip protection log. this may give you more details about the reason for not connecting to the generator.
