Hi,
At the moment I’m using a Multiplus II 5000VA, some Yixiang batteries and an Ekrano GX
I use a home wizard p1 dongle with my fork of a dbus implementation to get the grid readings into the victron system.
Also I’ve integrated my 3phase goodwe inverter with dbus with another fork (although I need to clean up this git a bit)
This works great, but the heat and noise produced by the multiplus is less than optimal.
Recently I’ve learned that the Multi RS Solar is supposed to be better in that regard and with recent firmware updates supports ESS.
I’ve my multi plus only connected on AC In, meaning AC out is unused, so I want to do the same for the Multi RS Solar. Will I really need a VM-3P75CT grid meter as mentioned in some forums to make it work or will my dbus system continue to function well?
Also, does the VM-3P75CT now also work over LAN rather than only VE.Can with latest firmware updates? It’s mentioned in the manual it’s supposed to. My cable run would be too long for VE.Can to function well I think.
It would be nice to find release notes for devices you don’t own to know the state of things.
Thanks
