Why has the 12/3000/120 multi plus 2 only have one positive and one negative terminal yet the wiring instructions state 2 positive and 2 negatives are required? This seems odd, stacking terminals isn’t a good idea, should I run a dual terminal directly onto the factory one?
I cant answer the “why” but ive used a single 95mm2 before. Use the victron toolkit app to calculate voltage drop based on the fuse you are using, i guess 400A, and the cable length
Never had the 12Volt Multis in use for my installations. They expose awful high currents but stacking 2 cable lugs same direction or back to back on one terminal is ok for me. The only problem at the Multi is to have space for 4 cable glands. The small Multis use cable sealings from rubber made by OBO. If you have doubts with the strain relief, you might replace this by any full size cable gland what fits your diameter. This case, you have to crimp the cable lugs yourself as this cannot pass the diameter what the flexible sealing can do. Photo is experimental installation but shows brief idea on how it looks.
