Grid is connected to the Multiplus units, but they are set to inverter mode only and I want to know when the grid power is down.
VRM console dashboard “AC input” is blank. VRM advanced view appears to display grid voltage “AC” in addition to “AC output”, but even when I can see we are on battery (batrery voltage is dropping) the “AC” still displays voltage.
Is there a way to display grid voltage when in inverter mode?
Ln the gx it does under the inverter in device list.
You cant change the vrm dashboard (it shows that when connected only) but the summary widget does as you noted. And so do all the other widgets for voltage.
I was wondering about testing the voltage alarm for AC on the vrm (rather then using grid lost alarm on the GX) to know when grid is out.
I have been using node red to message me about grid availability so never got around to it. That might work for you?
I’ve played with the voltage alarm options and cannot we find one that tells me when grid is down when in inverter only mode. Best I’ve found is a battery alarm that triggers when it drops to 48 volts since that only happens if the grid is down.
Do I am really looking for two options:
A way of getting to display grid voltage
And/or a way to alarm when grid is down
All the options for #2 I’ve found online so far are disabled in inverter only mode.
I am a DIY and need a good description to follow if you gave a suggestion.
Attached is a screenshot of a normal day here and you can see how many times grid power failed. Need better warning do we can avoid heavy power usage when on battery.
Yes, I should be able to set a grid alarm in VRM or on the Cerbo console. Tried all the AC alarm options to trigger for voltage less than 100 but haven’t been able to make it work. Low battery alarm works, but not AC input. Missing something simple.
Woyld also like to add an AC grid widget to the dashboard if anyone know how. Right now the default AC input is blank.
