i’m aware of the build in option. However, with my 100kWh battery setup, I prefer to arrange the balancing manually when it’s most cost-effective for me. Timing is key, and I usually choose moments that align with low energy costs or high solar production.
Although data was missing for a few hours, the numbers arrived in time and DESS perfectly prepared for todays high costs due to lack of wind and sun in Germany. Thanks Victron. DESS is already doing a great job in its early state and I am confident it gets even better and better over time.
Missing tomorrows prices and they will be high for some hours. Anyone else with the same problem? This is for Norway.
I have another (new) one:
VRM shows an alert “Dynamic ESS: ENTSO-E-Preise für diese Gebotszone sind derzeit nicht verfügbar. Das sollte sich bald ändern.”
Prices are available though and DESS seems to operate normaly.
Best regards, Jochen
Same info today, but as it says, DESS looks to work as it should despite no prices shown.
Hi @Pim57 , good point! The banner checks if ENTSO-E prices are in: they aren’t, but in the meantime we do get the prices from an alternative source.
What we’ll do today or tomorrow is making sure the banner only shows when prices are in not available at all.
alternative source (repository) for Czech Republic
