I have the following configuration in a three-phase system: grid–>smart meter Em24–>Multiplus II → AC Load. There are 6 multiplus II, 2 in parallel on each phase, which has been operating for approximately 1.5 years. The phase sequence displayed by the smart meter (EM24-E1) is L1-L3-L2 (which is wrong) and the rotation direction at the point with the grid is LEFT (read with a UNI-T tester). At the exit of Multiplus II the rotation direction is also LEFT. Normally, a “Phase rotation: Warning” warning should have appeared but it doesn’t.
If I change the connection to the grid by switching between L2 and L3, the smart-meter shows L1-L2-L3, the grid rotation remains LEFT, the “Phase rotation: Warning” warning appears and the Multiplus II output rotation changes to Right. All connections are made with the standard colors brown, black, gray and there is no inversion throughout the grid–>smart meter Em24–>Multiplus II → AC Load The connections are easy to follow as they must enter a color and exit the same color.
It works with the sequence L1-L3-L2 at the grid point L1-L3-L2 from the initial installation. All three-phase motors work ok in this configuration.
Could Multiplus II switch between L2 and L3? If so, it can be set not to do it anymore. If not, I don’t know how to approach this situation.
Thanks, is there a tutorial or any documentation? I have mk3, I looked for documentation to change the position of the phases with VeConfiguration but I didn’t find it, I don’t think I know where to look
I did an L2<–>L3 switch at the GRID point. I reset all the Multipluses to standalone with “Ve.Bus Quick Config” and I reconfigured the 6 Multiplus IIs in a three-phase system with VeBus System Configurator respecting the colors that come out of EM24. I had to change L3<–>L2 on the two three-phase motors because the direction of rotation now changed from grid to AC Out1 and 2 in RIGHT. Everything is ok now, it works properly.
I didn’t know that the Multiplus has the ability to shift the phases to order them correctly, or I think I found this information somewhere but I forgot because they worked ok, there was no need. I suppose this happened during the first configuration, and later if I shifted between phases at the grid point everything went crazy. When you drag and drop a Multiplus over the corresponding phase, then it also dictates the correct phase shift during the configuration stage.
Thank you so much!
