I have a multiplus 2, and have already assigned the physical relays inside the inverter, but i need to switch one more external device with a relay, and only k1 seems to be left as an option.
So… if i connected the coil of a small relay onto k1 (pin2 on the row of connections) and 12v pin 1 on the row of connetions, including an emf diode, would this work?
Also being its a 48v inverter, and pin 1 has 12v on it, would a small 12v coil relay be suitable?
Yes if the relay is below 100ma

Perfect thank you, this looks very positive ill give it a try.
So i tried this relay circuit, but it didnt work, i then tested the + pin for 12v, but i couldn’t get a reading on my multimeter. Should there be a permanent 12v supply on that pin in relation to the negative battery terminal?
I would have to check on my system, but 12v should be there between gnd of an aux negative connector and the +12v, not battery
No longer a problem, and i want to apologise, as it was my fault for looking at the connectors upside-down and back to front comared to the installation manual.
Stupid me had wired the relay onto the v sense pins, causing a v sense alarm (see other thread) and not twinging on that it was my fault. Old sge obviously doesn’t come on its own!
I should have wired the relay over at the opposite end of the row of connetions, nearest to me which i have now done.
So let me apologise and thanks for your help.
