I’m having an issue getting my batteries to charge. Currently I have 20A (limited) shore power and a small solar array charging the system. All breakers are off, DC and AC. The issue is that the charge never gets to 28V to signal a full recharge and the status is always cell imbalance.
Recently I upgraded the firmware to try to fix the issue. When I did the BMS was reading >28V and I saw a “Balancing” status on the batteries! I thought it was successful but it never balanced them and I’m back to the same issue.
Any thoughts? Thanks!

Your settings are fine for normal charging with a suitable charging set up. To recover the balance you must get them charging up to 28.4V and hold this fo several hours. When you get a good charge supply set the absorption time to say 6 hours to get a longer balance. When the charger goes to float restart a new charge cycle, you may need to set the SOC threshold to 98% to restart a charge sooner and the repeated absorption interval to 1 day. Once charged then consider improving your charging set up. You might also consider more frequent absorption charging, say every day but for 15 minutes per day.
See Section 6.1 of the manual for imbalanced battery recovery. Also Section 5.2 for absorption time recommendations.
Thanks for the info @pwfarnell, and the link. Do you think that the 20A 120V shore connection from my house is inadequate? It’s been connected for a week.
It should be good enough through the Quattro if there is not too much other load on the system so it can get the batteries up to 100%. Rereading things, the problem might be more to do with the absorption time being only 2 hours per month not being enough to get balanced as I also mentioned.
Voltage up and balancing. You’re a king @pwfarnell , thanks!
