Is BatteryProtect module needed for LifePo4 with Built-in BMS?

I plan to hook a Blue Solar MPPT 75/15 to a 50AH LifePo4 Lithium battery. These batteries have a built in BMS that will shut down the load when the voltage and State-Of-Charge hits a specific point. In this configuration, is there really any use for the Victron Battery Protect Module? Is the BatteryProtect module only really needed for Lead Acid batteries since they do not have a BMS circuit?

Thanks,

Neal

If there is a BMS, there is no need for anything else, but fuse(s).

The BMS will report its chargecurrent and -voltage limits and the system will obey them.
