I recently bought the ip65 12/25 because I didn’t want to have a device with a noisy fan. But when charging at 25A the humming is bothering me a lot. It doesn’t do it at 10A.
Is this a normal thing? I hope not. Quite disappointed really for the money.
Mine is doing exactly the same, although it is the IP67 version. I’ve actually had 2 units die and am on my 3rd, but with this humming I fear it’s also on the way out. I’ve set it at 10A to prolong it’s life a bit hopefully. The previous ones failed just short of 10 months & 16 months use.
It’s now over a year since you posted…..what was the outcome for you?
It’s still doing it. I’ve upgraded a lot on my RV since then, so I really never use it inside anymore. Still use it to charge my batteries in the boat sometimes and it still works.
