Installation of new Lithium Batteries

Hello

I recently purchased 3 x 300-amp Lithium batteries.

I have three questions relating to settings.

  1. I have a 3000 Vcitron inverter, is there a need to change any settings on the inverter for the new batteries?

  2. I have a Victron DC charger. Do I need to change any settings on the DC Charger for the new batteries?

  3. I have a Victron Smart Solar Charger. Is there a need to change any settings on the Victron Smart Solar Charger for the new batteries?

  4. Charging Batteries with a Battery Charger, what mode/settings are required? Old Batteries were WET/AGM
    Cheers Fred

Yes, every one of your chargers will need to be set for lithium batteries. Victron have a setting for their lithium batteries which is suitable for most lithium batteries but you need to check the battery manufacturer settings and if appropriate change the absorption voltage under expert settings.

Hi pwfanell, thank you for your quick response. I have an answer from the battery manufacturer, who suggested ensuring the recharge rate is between a certain range/volts. I intend to upgrade the Solar Charger and the Shut now to Bluetooth, so all of this will be easier to manage. Cheers.
