In a split phase setup, dual 3k 48v Multiplus II’s one phase fluctuates from -1500w to +1500w

There’s an audible slow pitch change/hum that correlates with the fluctuations. This noise only comes from one inverter phase 1. This causes the battery to discharge and charge in ESS mode to try and maintain the 0 grid set point. When I turn off the mp2s the grid meter remains flat ruling out external fluctuating load.

I have:
2 Victron VM-3P75CT
Cerbo GX
Lynx distribution
400/100 mppt
40kwh battery
8kw solar array

Check the connector for the external current sensor.
Unplug it and plug it in again, check if the wire bridge is firmly in.

If you have an older model with the 3,5mm “audio” jack plug one in and out a few times.

Thanks for the reply. I’m using the Victron VM-3P75CT

And when the MP is off the current settles to 50w +/-

Is it a new system?
Are the two phases correctly assigned ?
Observe your battery charge at this moment …
Maybe one is charging multi and the other is trying to compensate …
Is the charger deactivated on one of the multis ?

The MultiPlus has a special connection for an external current sensor, that needs to be checked.
