Impact of Unequal AC Cable Lengths on Three-Phase Victron MultiPlus-II Setup

Hi everyone,

I have a question regarding the AC side of a three-phase system with 3 Victron MultiPlus-II inverters (one per phase). Do the cable lengths between each inverter and the main distribution panel (where I have a 4-pole contactor from the grid) need to be identical for all three phases?

I’m asking because I want to avoid any imbalance or potential issues with parallel operation, and I’m not sure if a small difference in cable length (e.g. 1 meter) could affect phase synchronization or current distribution.

Thanks a lot in advance for any clarification!:folded_hands:

In your set up equal cable length isn’t necessary, so 1 meter difference should be fine. Only if you have multiple units per phase, would you need to worry about equal cable length. Technically your 3 units aren’t running “in parallel”.
