How to switch off WiFi WLAN Multiplus II

Hello, is there any possibility, to switch off the WLAN WiFi Interface of the Multiplus II, like flightmodus ?

Yes you can turn it off in the remote console

Its called the hotspot. Can be found near where you add the GX to the local WiFi.

Hi Marc and LX,

thank you very much for your answers.

In the remote console I deactivate the Access Point, so that the device doesn’t offer it’s WLAN SSID anymore, but via WLAN it is still available and connected to the gateway WLAN-router of the entire Network.

And I forgot to mention , that it is a Multiplus II GX Device. Is it different in this case against Multiplus II ?

The pure Multi Plus or Multi Plus 2 is a pure inverter without W-Lan or network connection. It was already clear that you have a GX model.

missunderstanding ?

In what context ?

Good morning Steffen,

thank you for your clarification ! Now I understood what you ment.

So, there seams to be no SW option to deaktivate WLAN of the GX Model?

Somehow I still don’t understand …
you can simply deactivate WI-FI and that’s that …
Why don’t you show the menu when you have deactivated WI-FI … then you won’t be providing an access point

Thank you for your reply Steffen. I’ve done some more screen-shoots. The GX Model is actually still connected via WLAN.

???

… step was missing above …

Stupid question by the way :
How are you connected to your system at the moment?

I think your question is ok and helps for trouble shooting.
Aktually via Ethernet, but WLAN is also possible.

Edit the WLAN Access Point and remove the connection settings… It will stop connecting.

thanx Mark, I will do later then and let you know!

PS, but I guess, it will not turn off the WLAN Device of the Multi Plus II GX.

:open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth: If you really want to be sure that the WLAN is switched off, you will probably have to open the Multi and remove the WLAN antenna from the micro connector on the circuit board … Is the hard solution

yes, I agree Steffen
but let’s see, maybe there is something SW-based possible to turn off the airinterface to a flightmodus

so Mark,
I used the function, I think it was shown/called “forget this network” and now, the device does not connect anymore and the little WiFi symbol is also gone in the remote console overview.

Thank you very much !
