How to switch off DVCC for 2nd system MPPT on the same GX

To get permant 230V supply I installed 4x12V-Victron batteries in series with smart BMS NG, Lynx distri, a Multiplus II 48V/5000 and a Ekrano display. I am using shore power in every harbour for recharging. I love the Ekrano display showing the major values. I also got solar panels with Victron MPPT 100|30 smart solar controllers charging the 12V service batteries. My idea was to connect the solar controllers via VE.direct to the Ekrano. Great fun: I could see the charging power of the solar controllers.

Then after installing a software update to the Ekrano it shows 0 Watts solar power. I think it is a problem with the DVCC. I cannot switch it off. It turns immediately on. After cutting the VE.direct connection the solar controllers worked fine again. Is there a possibility to reconnect the solar controllers without the erroneous commands from the EKrano?

You can not switch off DVCC with the Lynx NG BMS. We need more info on your install.

The BMS and the Ekrano are parts of my 48V installation. The solar chargers are delivering their power to the 12V batteries. Both systems are independent. I want to use the Ekrano only for monitoring the solar power.

The trouble here is that by having the MPPT connected, it is being considered as part of the main battery charging. I do not know if it is possible to have the MPPT connected and not part of DVCC or considered to be adding charge current to the 48V battery. Perhaps someone else will be along, or ask a specific question for dual systems.

The major problem is the systems paternalism. Switching off the DVCC should be accepted and not overwritten!

Get yourself one of these https://www.victronenergy.com/display-and-panels/mppt-control or disconnect the VE.Direct cable to the Ekrano and use VictronConnect over bluetooth to monitor the solar controller. It’s not supported (or even desired in my opinion) to have multiple systems sharing one GX device. If you require everything to be on one pane of glass, then use your MFD to connect to the Ekrano and the MPPT separately. I’m not a marine expert so don’t ask me how to do it
