My system setup is as follows:
a) Multiplus II GX
b) Lynx Smart BMS 500
c) Victron Battery protect
d) 3x Smart Lithium Batteries
e) Ekron GX
Now i can see on the Ekron following things:
Grid W, Ac Loads, Amps, %, V for the batteries, and DC Power. Havent been able to see the MPPT solar unit on the screen so far.
Connections:
a) Lan Cable between Multiplus GX and Ekrano
b) Ve Can port on BMS connected with Lan cable to VE Can on the Ekrano
Was trying to get the solar to show up on the Ekrano and tryed to connect VE Can port from the Multiplus directly to Ekrano but no luck.
Now the MPPT in the Multiplus GX unit shows “#67 BMS connection lost” and its not charging. (it didnt show that Yesterday). Have tried to put cables back as they were Yesterday and restart the units but no luck..
Its the one inside the Multiplus GX (Smartsolar HQ2312HPMQ7) Its connected with Lan Cable via Ve Can to Ve Can port on the Ekrano. Have resistor connectors connected on each side as well in the next lan port on the VE Can side.
So its not a multiplus but an easysolar gx, you cant have two gx devices in one installation
If you want to use the ekrano, you will have to disconnect the gx device inside the easysolar first from the mppt, the “multiplus” and from power and then connect everything to the ekrano, settings made in the internal GX will have to be made in ekrano
Sorry.. It says Multiplus II GX on Victron website… Anyway, is there anywhere I can find the steps to do these disconnections? If I understand you correctly I will open up the unit and disconnect the communication cables right?
Probably my fault altogether! Just probably didnt read the product description completely…or the website might be a bit confusing at times what should be chosen
Sorry to say, but I have bought lots of Victron products throughout the years and nearly all of the time the dealers have “disappeared” after the products have been delivered and known less about the product than a 5 year old. But thankfully we have this community web to sort those out. Good web support is more important than dealers taking commission for nothing around the world.
