How to store lithium superpack

Hello,

I’ve a solar installation with 600w of PV, a mppt 100/50 and a Smartshunt and a 200Ah Victron superpack. I had a gel battery before the lipepo4.

I have two questions

1/ I see that my Smartshunt tells 100% of soc but I can see a bulk state on my charger.

My settings are below, do you think I need to adjust a settings ?

2/ I saw that i must cut the battery during my off season, I don’t have PV breaker, what’s the best way to do it ??

Is it ok to store the battery for off season (8-10 months) at 80% of soc ?

Can I just shutoff the mppt in the VictronConnect App ??

Can I just let the battery and charger connected for the “off season” without any risk ?

  1. Your problem is common, increase the charged voltage on the SmartShunt to 14.1V. As this happens so often I wrote a FAQ to explain it. Battery monitor jumping to 100% or reporting a high SOC with low Volts / the BMS shuts down
  2. You could get the battery charged to around 80% and then leave it disconnected for several months, the manual or datasheet may give a time or how much SOC is used per month. You can turn off solar using the app, this has been confirmed previously by Victron. Another option is to set the absorption and float voltages to 13.2V or 13.3V to make sure the battery stays close to full.
