Hi everyone,
I don’t rely on AI but sometimes consult it with precautions. In my experience, AI is sometimes wrong and potentially dangerous. But it’s sometimes right and I’m like “why didn’t I think of that?” or I learn something new. Some people have decided not to use it because it’s risky. For me, I always ask for the original source, consult the original source to see if the interpretation is correct and assess the quality of the original source. How do you use AI, if at all?
F.
I do play with it. Never consult it for something i have no clue on unless it is to drive more learning, as i don’t in some areas have the knowledge to evaluate its information and decide if it is right or wrong.
Would i base any life affecting decisions on any AI right now- no.
I have similar views as you do here. But also get the same when consulting with collegues.
It is still in the infant stages. Which is part of why in the guidlines it is against community rules to use AI answers here.
I do think it has potential if it can learn how to evaluate mis information as well. And of course its data set is reliant on human and we all know how falable we are.
Can we please keep the topic Victron related rather than broad general discussion, given this is a technical forum.
There are various topics on this already where Guy has detailed Victron’s approach, and our guidelines that ask members not to use it due to generalised inaccuracy.
Thanks.
