note: design was fixed by swaping AC Out connections.
Did I understand correctly the way the Multiplus II 48/3000 works, managing non critical loads and critical loads from the grid + PV + Inverter from Battery.
Also in case of grid down, Critical loads use the battery and PV, with no critical loads powered down.
With this design if there is excess power supplied from the PV it goes to the battery?
Do I need to add an external meter for the grid side or Multiplus II can handle it?
Thanks for your help.
last time I used enphase they wouldn’t send load in this configuration, as they usually need to “see” a sine curve on the line before they transit power, in this scenario, AC Out2 will not generate sine unless enphase does it first.
I know this would work if you swapped AC Out 1 and Out 2. but not sure here.
I’m also planning to use an Enphase System (IQ8AC) with an Victron Multiplus II controlled by the “Solar Manager” and wan’t to use the backup power capability. @rcaridade : @xoniginox wrote, that you need to swap the AC Outs and you confirmed, that this “swapped” config is working. Is the picture above showing the config before swapping (not working) or after swapping (working).
So, your test connecting as the picture above is correct? Meaning the non critical loads goes AC out 2 (no UPS backup) and critical on AC Out 1 (with UPS backup and Enphase inverters)
I don’t know, I’m trying to find someone that can help me with that.
I design what I think it’s the correct approach based of some search, but not sure.
