GSM Backup and Failsafe Options?

My system was installed in way that if the internet goes out I have no access to the VRM Portal, but also if the AC power is cut off the GX Cerbo shuts off. Is there a way to wire this for redundancy so that monitoring can continue? Is there also a way to either use the GX LTE for GSM failsafe if the internet fails, or a battery powered 4G wifi router?

TIA!

The cerbo should not be powered via AC, it should be wired to the battery.
You would need a router that supports a backup gsm module, that is the best approach.
Connection redundancy is limited on the GX and documented in the user manual.

I may have mispoke- the cerbo is connected to the quattro. I assume it should be connected directly to the + and - terminals on the BYD battery box for continuous monitoring?

It should be connected to the dc busbar via the supplied, fused cable.
That keeps it alive if the inverter rolls over.

Thanks for confirming - but I think they connected it to the battery cables inside the quattro. I am not onsite so cannot verify where inside the quattro they connected the fused cable.

That isn’t best practice but it should still work even with the inverter off.
