The only progress is this post on another thread saying, essentially ‘Victron has decided not to do the work for G100/2 certification, because they don’t sell enough’.
So the type-approved (SGI3) route isn’t going to get fixed. That does leave other possibilities, which I might have to explore.
Have you been able to find a solution for the G100 requirement? Are you still pursuing it or given up?
I bought an MP-II and 16.5kW battery for a mobile power application without considering that one day I may want to use it as an ESS. Things changed and I no longer need mobile power but I now find myself unable to grid tie it.
I put my notification to the DNO (including the Victron G100 cert, and screenshot showing the UK grid settings and 5kW feed-in limit being configured on about 25th Feb. It is supposed to take 10 days, but it actually took 30. I finally got notification today that the procedures have been followed and the system is accepted.
This is East Anglia, UK power networks, using the online ENA direct system.
So it seems you can still have Multiplus II systems accepted, (using the SGI-2 or SGI-3 type-approval-based process) even though they have an out-of-date G100 cert.
As you already have the kit then you don’t have much to lose by applying. But if buying new the situation remains less than ideal and somewhat offputting.
