I have an off-grid system with three (3) Fronius Symo attached on the AC-OUT of an installation running a CCGX (soon to be replaced with a Cerbo).
The Fronius units have all had new Recerbo cards installed and a new datamanager card installed in the first unit. They are communicating with each other over network cables and to the GX device via a network switch - the CCGX connects to the same network switch for its internet connection.
The issue I have is that the GX does not pick up ALL the Fronius units, only ONE of them. However, all THREE units are communicating to the solar.web interface.
Why would the GX device only see one of them (and it’s not the “master” unit with the datamanager card). Every day it connects to a different unit, but only ever ONE unit. Each unit has its own (unique) ID.
I admit that no multi Fronius on GX installation have been done by me.
The above was an assumption, based on how paralleled Fronius systems show up in main screen of SolarWeb, as total power instead of individual units.
SolarWeb - Settings - Components do show all 3 inverters with correct serial numbers ?
Out of curiosity, what was the reason of RECERBO and DataManager replacement ?
Might be an issue related to this change ?
We usually do single Fronius installations on the smaller sites but when we do the larger Solaredge installs with two or more inverters in Master and Slave configurations all the inverters need to be configured for modbus / sunspec and have a LAN connection. If not the GX device can’t see them all and just reports the Master. All your slaves should be detected in the PV inverter search. I hope that helps.
Thanks for the input. We have all three inverters interconnected and the master has a LAN cable to the Cerbo (via a network switch). Interestingly, all 3 report to Solar.web, so the information is getting to the network switch, but not, for some reason, to the Cerbo.
