Does anyone know the maximum wire size for the Filax 2? I’m trying to hook one up on my boat and I’m struggling getting the 12 AWG wires into the screw terminals. I find nothing in the documentation on what the max wire size is for this.
I reconnected the FILAX2 yesterday. I used 2.5mm² solid copper cable. That worked well. Larger cables aren’t necessary, as the maximum current rating is only 16A, and 2.5mm² is perfectly adequate.
Can’t use solid wire on a boat. Also, the size of wire depends on how long it needs to be, and the wire was already existing when I was trying to hook it up. It would’ve been a serious effort to try and run a new wire to where it needed to go. Finally gave up and returned the Filax.
