Extract Historic Data from Smart Shunt

hi,

I’m trying to extract trend data from the smartshunt to plot/analyse on a computer.

I have a system with a CCGX and a smart shunt that is not connected to the online portal.
The CCGX does not have a USB stick in it, and the database file has limited information in it due to storage limitations.
I also have a smartshunt in the system, and i can see in the app that it has significant historical data saved on the device.

Is there a method to export this data?
there doesnt appear to be any data export buttons in the android app.
is there a old version of the app (ora beta version) that had export functionality?

i thought about connecting it to a windows machine, and then extracting the database from local storage, but the windows version of victronconnect doesn’t support Bluetooth, and the smart shunt only exposes the historic data over bluetooth.

cheers!

I also wish to download my usage data from the smart shunt. Investigations seem to result in the same outcome, purchase another Victron component to access the data that I can already see through the smart connect app. Apparently you could previously download data over Bluetooth but this feature was removed resulting in a reduced customer experience .

So if Victron read these threads I have to feedback my disappointment with your software and hardware integration.

Individually the hardware is robust and well engineered.

However components seem to vary with how data is accessed and viewed, no single standard across all devices.

This is a real let down and especially when the hardware is premium price equipment, disappointed.

Just as a bit of a reality check, a Renogy battery monitor from Shein costs more than a Victron SmartShunt, and offers around 20% of the functionality.

Understood that one man’s definition of “premium price” and another’s can vary dramatically, but still -at the end of the day, yes, different components have different capabilities and means of interaction and interconnection; this is how things work.

It can be very time-consuming to study the vast collection of user manuals, datasheets, diagrams, and etc to find the product that does exactly what you want it to do, and the reality is that the product that does exactly what you want it to do will very possibly not be the cheapest thing offered, but it’ll be worth it in the end!
