Hello everyone,
My setup:
- 1 MPII 10kvas
- 2 mppts 250 - 70
- Lynx distributor, shut and power in
- 16 kwh battery
- cerbo gx
I’ve recently purchased an EV Charging Station and i’ve been observing 2 possible issues:
1 - When I typically arrive at home my battery SoC is usually at 100% (> 98%). That means that the MPPTs are only providing the necessary power to the house and when I connect the car to charge 2 things happen:
- The charge does not start (I think because the charger only sees a couple of wats being produced)
- If the house consumption fluctuates a bit (heat pump starts, coffee machine is heating up) 1 MPPT starts producing but the other stays idling so I’m loosing half of the capacity.
My work around for this issue is to start charging manually using full power until the battery asks for a rebulk and then I move it to auto again.
Doing it before does not work because when the carge mode is changed the contactor on the charger opens and the production drops and the charger only sees a couple watts being produced again.
Shouldn’t a setting exist to ramp up charging on float state even if that costs some SoC %?
2 - In the evening the auto move stops the car from charge and everything seems to be OK. Then in the morning the the charges sees some production it starts charging ignoring the minimum SoC on the settings.
In todays case, the production started really well but latter some cloud started to appear blocking the production.
The charging should have stop at 29% but it keeps charging without any timer.
