some Cars seem to tend to drop charge current every some minutes for a very short time.
So then the following behaviour occurs:
When charging with fixed setting, indepent if 1P or 3P, everything is fine. EVCS works perfectly with using Sun Energy and controls amperage to get the best result.
But when using automatic Phase switching, this works great until car drops current:
It starts with 1P and goes up with current
Switches to 3P and charges with indreasing current
Until the car drops current for some seconds: This leads EVCS to switch back to 1P…
1P current is then increased again, switching to 3P and so on…
Can there be a timeout set for switching back from 3P to 1P? So that EVCS ignores the short current drop of Car?
Hello @Sanderj. It looks like 3500 W is too small a value - the EVCS cannot reach it.
At the minimum current of 6 A, the power will be (6 × 230) × 3 = 4140 W. Therefore, 3500 W is not reachable. It should be set above 4140 W.
The problem is only with switching back to 3P supply. So the old setting on 5058 works already.
All my settings in the EVNS are 1+ higher i don’t know why. So 5058 is the address for switching to 3P.
5059 is the address for switching back to 1P.
And 5060 is the timeout for switching witch is set to 1800seconds.
I’ l try to set 5059 higher to 4300 and see if that will work.
