EV charger ns, 1 fase , 3 fase system

Hi all,
3 fase system with on fase 1 a Multi RS for compensation.
a EV charger installed, all newest firmware , the EV charger is only charging on 1P (fase 1) is this normal , never goes to 3 fase charge .

Is this because of the only one Multi RS ?

The EVCS has no mechanism to “control” how many phases are used.

  • IF the EVCS is connected to 3 phases
  • IF the car is trying to charge 3 phased

It will be a 3-phased charging.

So, three things you can do:

  1. Make sure all 3 phases are connected to the EVCS properly.
  2. Make sure the Type2-Cable between EVCS and car is 3 phased as well
  3. Check your car for any limiting options. Mine has an option called “Weak AC-Input”, then it will only use single-phase charging with upto 3 kW. (That may even be burried deeper in “location-aware-settings”)
