The Modbus communication works but I see a lot of errors (1 per second) in the Modbus Server window in the GX device.

ERROR “Error processing function code 3…. etc. The source mentioned in the error message is the EVCS (192.168.100.83)

Try changing the request to function code 4?
Sometimes there is a confusion between “holding registers” and “input registers” Some devices are sensitive, some are indifferent. Depends on the implementation.
