I have 1 phase system with Fronius and Multiplus + battery + EVCS
What is strange, that EVCS decrease power for the car when there is any power consumption on the other phases :
On the picture you can see, that there is -230W on the L1 where is solar system, but EVCS shows grid consumption 1086W because is calculating all together and is decreasing his power. But complete solar system is on the L1 and also setup is only for L1.
Second question is, why multiplus doesn’t use his power for EVCS. Complete power is sent by fronius and from multiplus nothing :
Hello @Alex.
“feed in” - it is an old auto-mode algorithm. It is not recommended to use it. It used ‘feed-in’ power to regulate EV charging current.
“battery powered” - it is the latest one. It watches the battery behavior to determine excess solar power + a lot of other factors.
EVCS used common grid consumption in auto mode. So, when EVCS detects positive grid consumption it reduces the EV charging current to not consume from the grid. Unfortunately, the current EVCS FW does not support monitoring of separate grip phases to determine excess solar power, only common grid value.
Thank you @Nicolas
Then I can cancel “feed in” from my setups
Regarding “battery powered”: (please check remarks ,thank you)
‘Battery powered’. Start delay min - 30s - it’s delay when all conditions are met
‘Battery powered’. Stop delay - 60s - stop when not met
‘Battery powered’. Start abort delay - 60s - don’t know
‘Battery powered’. BKPB balance power - 500W - this is max power which is supplied into battery during automatic mode ?
‘Battery powered’. BKPB balance SOC max - 80% - this SoC must be reached for start ?
‘Battery powered’. Available sun power threshold for start - 100W - minimal PV producton for start ?
‘Battery powered’. Grid power threshold for start - 25W - ?? is it feed-in ? or ?
‘Battery powered’. BKPB power threshold for decrease - 250W - consumed power from the battery which decrease a current ?
‘Battery powered’. Grid power threshold for decrease - 250W - consumed power from the grid which decrease a current ?
‘Battery powered’. Discharging detect timeout - 7s - reaction delay when discharge (BKPB power threshold for decrease??) is detected ?
‘Battery powered’. Next try timeout for increase - 45s - delay for next check
‘Battery powered’. Time step - 15s - which time step ?
‘Battery powered’. Current step 10 (A*10) - is it 100mA or ??
‘Battery powered’. Grid power for ‘feed in’ detection - 100W - so when feed in is -100W he will increase a current ?
‘Battery powered’. Start delay max - 180s - there is start delay min = 30s and start delay max 180s. what does it mean ? And what will happen when this 180s is exceed ?
Registers with ‘Feed in’ are used for ‘Feed in’ auto mode(you can ignore those), and Registers with ‘Battery powered’ are used for ‘Battery powered’ auto mode.
‘Battery powered’ auto mode type is used by default.
Here is a doc that describes all parameters for the ‘Battery powered’ auto mode type(the ‘Feed in’ description may be outdated). EVCS Auto mode latest.pdf (110.4 KB)
Thank you for this document, will help a lot.
But maybe old “feed-in” is better for me. Because there are only two parameters. Feed in value for start and current increase/decrease and battery discharging for stop.
And it looks like that it looks only for power for single phase power - isn’t it ?
edit: no, I can’t use a “feed-in” becuase with this setup, MPPT 450/100 power isn’t used for charging, but only power from the pv-inverter (Fronius). Don’t know why (see picture in my first post).
