EVCS Auto mode lower power when gridsetpoint is higher

Normally I have the ESS grid setpoint at 50W. EVCS was charging the car in auto mode.

When I changed the grid setpoint to 1000W I was expecting the EVCS to charge the car with 1000W more, but instead it started lowering the charge power with about 1300W. This made the ESS battery charge power jump from ~300W to 2600W.

When I turned the grid setpoint back it increased the EV charge power again.

Why is it behaving like this?

Update: I’ve found the setting “‘Battery powered’. Grid power threshold for decrease” in de Modbus registers. I’m assuming the algorithm lowers charging power when the grid is above the that threshold (default 250W). Shouldn’t the gridsetpoint be taken into account here? Only lower if grid is xyz Watt above the setpoint?

I’m confused why the grid is taken into account in “Battery Powered” mode. Shouldn’t it only look at the Backup Battery to decide the charge power?

I have now confirmed that it is indeed the “‘Battery powered’. Grid power threshold for decrease” setting that causes the decrease. I’ve increased the number to just below the peak I (ever) want to draw. When I now set the grid setpoint higher the extra power goes to the EVCS as I wanted.
