Hi there,

Already have a Victron ESS system and am in the process of getting our electrician to add a Victron EVCS NS car charger.

It will be installed on the AC in side of the Multiplus but want to know whether it should be installed betwen the electricity company meter and the Multiplus energy meter or between the Multiplus energy meter and the Multiplus? Or doesn’t it matter? What I’m trying to avoid is draining the house battery when charging the EV.

You should install at the meter before the multiplus and if using a CT for the multi to register power going back to the grid this should be after the car charger. I did do a little short on YouTube it may help you visualise it just pause the video
