yes. that Node Red is a solution, I was actually thinking to use Home assistant, I’m not very proficient in node red
home assistant and also openhab, both are working with shelly
but I prefer, that EVCS SW will control this relay, for best sync.
Most of them are used for other applications, as you can see on the labels.
The second AC relay can be used for 1P-3P switching.
So sorry, but adding this on current hardware is complicated, and we prefer to focus on releasing the new one.

You can try, i’m not sure, also depends on the car. How fast it goes to sleep? If it takes one hour, You can do something like this - if auto mode (I presume that’s what you need) and if waiting for sun or low SOC, turn relay off for 1 sec, then on, every 50 min
But you will have to figure it out, it’s just a suggestion.
I think car goes into sleep very fast - 30sec, max 1minute. So I think I must disconnect CP nearly before, when auto mode wants start

Backup battery emulation: - don’t know, always disabled

btw, you can do something else in there, if charged state is reported by the EVCS, you can switch it to manual, trigger your CP relay, put it back in auto
But you’ll have to add some kind of protection for when the vehicle is really charged.
first of all I will try trigger a CP relay on the state 21 - start charging. We will see. It’s easiest way.
Protection for what? I’m not following.
If the car is charged, the car BMS won’t overcharge the battery.
Protection for never ending cycling. If relay will triger on the EVCS status “charged”, problem started when battery is really charged. Relay will trigger, but EVCS will report that battery is charged and relay will trigger again and again and again
