Today I tried and failed to swap my Daly BMS to my new JK bms
JK B2A8S20P
This is a offgrid system
I have 8x 3.2v 200ah lifepo4 balanced cells
Easysolar 24/3000/70, MPPT 70
Solar power is turned off
Victron is off
Then all other switches are turned off.
I also have a victron smartshunt
Removed my Daly and installed the JK.
The Daly works ok but thought the JK a better option
All voltages and polarity was good.
Checked wiring before connecting anything up too.
Turned the JK on and the settings and numbers all showed good via Bluetooth. There is no direct line between the BMS and victron. Both are controlled via their apps.
So.
Turned on my Victron with shunt and after 10 seconds the Easysolar would trip going into a low voltage alarm. It stated 2volts even though the batteries were well over 27volt.
All the connections were good and well sized and short cables. Everything is within 400mm
I used my multimeter to check and found the voltage at P- would drop from 27.5V to low volts, thus the victron shut down.
I did try to change a few things but because I’m offgrid had to reinstall the Daly BMS
Any thoughts for next time I try it?
