ESS will not discharge batteries after abiut 6pm

I have 2 x Multiplus 5 kW running in parallel on a single-phase with several Pylontech batteries (548 Ah) and a Venus GX. This has been working fine with ESS for a few years. Recently, the ESS is not working correctly. The ESS settings are :-
Mode - Optimised without battery life
Grid metering - Inverter/Charger
Multiphase regulation - Total of all phases
Minimum SOC (unless grid fails) - 30%
Limit inverter power - off
Grid setpoint - 50W
Grid feed-in - off
Peak shaving - Above minimum SOC only
Scheduled charge levels - Inactive

However, at the end of the day’s sunshine, when the battery would normally discharge into the load, with the SOC at about 63% at about 6 pm the battery starts charging from the grid at a steady 12 amps until the battery is at 80% the next morning at 08H20 when the MPPTs start to be come active.

Curiously, during this whole period after 4pm, the “low battery” VE.Bus warning is active. I have scrutinised all of the VEconfigure settings for something out of place but I cannot find anything.

Can anyone offer any idea’s ? Regards
